Boylston parkFacilities and Services

The camping park is open June 19 until September 14 (for the 2009 season) offering a 35 site wooded campground, and picnic area. The picnic area is open until mid October. The campground has water outlets and a trailer dump station.

Zeno Narrative
The Zeno Narrative is a medieval chronicle that tells of an epic voyage undertaken in the year 1398. A man identified as Henry Sinclair, the Earl of Orkney, left his island home north of Scotland and journeyed west to lands unknown. The narrow steep sided harbour described in the story sounds a lot like Guysborough Harbour and the people who greeted him could have been Mi'kmaq.

No one will ever be sure if Henry Sinclair discovered Nova Scotia a century before John Cabot, but it makes a compelling story. The wooden prow shaped monument relates the story in English, French and Mi'kmaq.

Camping reservations can be made beginning April 2, 2009. See Reservations for details and conditions.
