Park Info: Just across the harbour from the historic town of Shelburne, The Islands Provincial Park offers a restful stop on your trip around the South Shore. Bounded by Shelburne Harbour, it offers visitors a maritime camping experience. Shelburne's many museums, shops, and picturesque charm continue to attract thousands of international visitors each year.

Facilities and Services
The Islands offers a 70-site campground, water outlets, two picnic areas, an unsupervised beach, boat launch, and trailer dump station.

WiFi is available at the admin building and surrounding area. Password required, please see the park receptionist.

Camping reservations can be made beginning April 2, 2013. See Reservations for details and conditions.

July 2, 2014
9 AM to 4 PM
Nature Feast

Day camp for ages 6 to 9 years.  Explore nature through games, crafts, guest speakers and songs!  Experience the great outdoors! You may attend one or all three days. Pre-registration is required.      Participants will meet at The Islands Picnic Park.  Please note that registration fees are $8 each or $12 per family each day.  Please bring lots of water, two snacks, a lunch, hat, sunscreen, suitable clothing and footwear(flip flops are not recommended). Teddy Bear Picnic

Kids come out for a fun time with your favorite stuffed friend.  We will be participating in lots of games and songs with our Teddy Bear friends.  Parents participation is encouraged.  A light lunch will be provided to enjoy picnic style. Make sure you bring your teddy bears as well as hats, sunscreen, and water.  Pre-registration is required.  Sponsored by the Muncipality of the District of Shelburne. Kayak - Try It Event

Come out and give kayaking a try as part of the Shelburne Kayak Festival.  Come dressed to be active and wear footwear and clothing that can get wet.  Bring hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, water and snacks.  Meet at the boat ramp in the park.  Kayaks, paddles and PFD's available for use.  Qualified instructors and lifeguards will be on site. Nighttime Escapades

Come out and experience the park at night!   We will be playing games and having fun in the dark including a campfire, stories, jokes and s'mores.  Suitable for ages 7 years and up.  Dress to be active and for weather conditions.  Bring sturdy footwear for running, jumping and something that can get wet, no flip flops or sandals please.  Pre-registration is required.  Meet by the entrance to the park.  Please note that there is a registration fee of $8 each or $12 per family.  Sponsored by the Municipality of the District of Shelburne Recreation & Parks.  To pre-register contact Adam at (902) 875-3544 Ext 229 or email sumrec@municipalityofshelburne.ca.

6th Annual Harvest Fair

Join the Harvest Fair Committee for their 6th Annual Harvest Fair.  The fun starts Friday evening with a bonfire and continues Saturday afternoon with FREE outdoor events for all ages to enjoy.  Activities include T-shirt decorating, doughnut eating, obstacle course, scarecrow decorating, cake/cupcake walks, hotdog roasting and much more.  Saturday evening there will be a movie night for the children and stargazing for everyone.  Join our FaceBook page "Giant Pumpkin Festival and Harvest Fair" for all the latest information and updates.
