Park Info: Just across the harbour from the historic town of Shelburne, The Islands Provincial Park offers a restful stop on your trip around the South Shore. Bounded by Shelburne Harbour, it offers visitors a maritime camping experience. Shelburne's many museums, shops, and picturesque charm continue to attract thousands of international visitors each year.

Kids come out for a fun time with your favorite stuffed friend. We'll be doing lots of games and songs with our Teddy Bear friends. This event is designed for children ages 2 to 6 years and they must be accompanied by an adult. Parent/adult participation is encouraged. A light snack will be provided to enjoy picnic style. Make sure you bring your teddy bears as well as hats, sunscreen and water. Pre-registration is required. Sponsored by the Municipality of the District of Shelburne. The fourth Annual Shelburne Kayak Festival will be a weekend full of fun events from on the water and on land. The events will take place throughout the weekend. The Festival will include workshops, kayaking instruction, displays, social events, campfires, kayaking on the harbour, tours and more. If you want to take part in the clinics, workshops and/or guided tours you are required to bring a kayak and required safety gear with you. There will be limited kayaks on site; most will be used for demo and for people to try out in our "open water sessions". If you don't have a boat, or don't want to bring your own, please reserve your kayak rental early! See website for rental information. Please bring clothing appropriate for kayaking as well as a change of clothes. Pre-registration is required. Kayak Festival fees are posted on-line at www.shelburnekayakfestival.ca. Come out and give kayaking a try as part of the Shelburne Kayak Festival. Come dressed to be active and wear footwear and clothing that can get wet. Bring hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, water and snacks. Meet at the boat launch in the park. Kayaks, paddles and PFD's available for use. Qualified instructors and lifeguards will be on site. Join the Muncipality of the District of Shelburne for movie night in the park. Dress for weather conditions and bring a blanket, chair and some munchies for an unique and fun movie experience. Come out and experience the park at night! We will be playing games and having fun in the dark including a campfire, stories, jokes and s'mores. Suitable for ages 7 years and up. Dress to be active and for weather conditions. Bring sturdy footwear for running, jumping and something that can get wet, no flip flops or sandals please. Pre-registration is required. Come out and enjoy fresh air with outdoor fun at the 7th Annual Harvest Fair & 29th Annual Giant Pumpkin Weigh-in. The fun begins Friday evening with a bonfire and music and continues Saturday with FREE events for all ages to enjoy. Morning activities include giant pumpkin weigh in, face painting, pumpkin carving and seed swap. Afternoon activities include t-shirt decorating, doughnut eating, obstacle course, cake/cupcake walks and much, much more.
