WhycocomaghPark Info: Occupying a dramatic hillside overlooking the Skye River Valley and the Bras d' Or Lake, the park offers a quiet scenic setting for camping, picnicing, hiking, and access to the Bras d' Or Lake. From the park, eagles maybe seen soaring above the lake or perched in trees along its shores.

Facilities and Services

Open from June 15 - Oct. 15 for the 2012 Season and offers a 40-site campground, picnic areas, lake access and over 5 km of hiking trails. Sites 1-9 and 15 have two-way services. Yurts are at sites 38, 39 and 40.

WiFi is available at the admin building only and the surrounding area. There will be a password needed, please see the park receptionists.

yurtYurts are now available. Yurts can be reserved for a fee of $55 per night for up to four people and $10 for each additional person. Yurts hold a maximum of six people.

Canada's Parks Day Celebration
Come and join us for a fun filled 'Parks Day'. There will be games, activities, barbeque and music for all ages. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear for outdoor activities. Meet at the campfire pit. Sponsored by the NS Department of Natural Resources. Contact Charlene at (902) 756-2448 (after June 4th). Rain date: Sunday, July 22 from 1 PM to 4 PM.
